It’s interesting that this topic appears on “Stuff Mom Never Told You.” It seems Mom (and Dad) never told you a lot of things. They have, in fact, for a very long time neglected to instruct their children in a plethora of important skills. Speech, or how to use your voice is just one. Listen to women of the seventies and eighties, say for example, on TV game shows - these women were taught to speak from the diaphragm, enunciate, and project their voices without being loud. They wanted to sound like mature and desirable women (vs little girls) and they did. Speaking of which… …It’s also interesting that the title to this video is “Why do GIRLS have creaky voices?” See: girls, not women. Right! Nowadays nasally, whiny, childish, loud-mouthed, up-talking vocal friers (who usually don’t have anything worth listening to) make me want to go deaf. Learning to think before you speak, form coherent sentences, politely listen without interrupting, use proper etiquette and even basic social skills, not to mention emotional regulation, are also lost skills. Even worse, so many younger folks today lack self-awareness, are fragile, self-centered, irrational, poorly educated, over-estimate their worth and ability, don’t take responsibility, or accept the consequences of their own behavior. They therefore refuse to accept criticism or instruction, and throw tantrums when asked to change or conform to what used to be the bare-minimum standards for grooming, attire, behavior, communication, performance, etc.. IOW, too many young adults are uncivilized monsters who were spoiled by their parents, indoctrinated by mainstream media, and failed by their schools, and therefore can’t be taught or trained for much of anything. I’ll be glad when we are able to replace them all with robots.

The fact that most people consider 18-19 and 16 to be “grooming” is crazy. It’s as if people don’t think 16 y olds can make their own choices.

My boyfriend is nice and generally I could care less usually whether or not a guy looks up porn on occasion as long as it doesn't interfere with a relationship. Your video did not address my situation. I knew from an early age that it takes a lot of money to have a child or children and support a family and treat the mother of the children as well as possible. Because I’ve never been financially successful to the point that would justify engaging in procreation with a woman, I made the tough decision to not have kids. It’s a big regret. But it would’ve been worse to have a child or children with insufficient funds. Now at age 70, all I can do is reflect on what could’ve been and just realize that I’ll be dead in 10 or 15 years or so anyway. It is what it is. If I could’ve pressed the button and become wealthy earlier in life, I would’ve definitely had kids. Again, your video did not address this.

I'm a singer/songwriter and a recording musician with videos on You Tube, and I've done rock, country, blues, jazz and karaoke, but except for favorable applause at times, I've never been especially or unusually attractive to women, because I'm a musician. They listen to me and don't really much care. Or maybe a little, but they don't come running to me. That kind of stuff is only for the superstars.

I think the crudest crack I ever got about being short, was when I was at summer camp, and a girl Mary Ann and I got to be on couple status.
